Employment Insurance System (EIS)

Since May 2020, Adeptivast has been appointed as the vocasional training provider for the Employment Insurance System (EIS) scheme. Our objective here at Adeptivast is to help those who are eligible for EIS benefits through our robust training programmes by upskilling and reskilling them in the drive to shape them into outstanding individuals who are prepared to rejoin the corporate world.

EIS is a scheme created by SOCSO in 2018 to ensure the safeguard of employees who experience loss of employment due to unfortunate circumstances such as retrenchment. Insured persons of EIS are eligible to apply for training of up to RM4000 in total training cost. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 60 and must only formerly come from the private sector.

  • Malaysian citizens / permanent residents
  • Aged 18-60*
  • Working in the private sector**
  • Employed based on a contract of service
  • Apply within 60 days after their Loss of Employment (LOE).
  • Meet SOCSO Contributions Qualifying Conditions (CQC) (i.e. must have paid contributions to SOCSO EIS for a minimum number of months within a specified period).

*Important exception: Workers aged 57 and above who have never paid contributions before that age are NOT covered by the EIS Act and are NOT required to contribute
**The EIS Act does NOT cover domestic workers, the self-employed, civil servants, and workers in local authorities and statutory bodies.

PenjanaKerjaya Hiring Incentive Training Programme

Since May 2020, Adeptivast has been appointed as one of the training providers for the PENJANA initiative, operating for SOCSO’s Hiring Incentive Training Programme, widely known as PenjanaKerjaya.

PenjanaKerjaya is a scheme developed for the PENJANA initiative purposed to stimulate and encourage job creation in Malaysia by targeting employers who provide jobs to local graduates and school-leavers through apprenticeship programmes as well as new employees who are below 40 years of age, above 40 years of age, and even new employees with disabilities.

The initiative also provides allowance incentives to new employees up to six (6) months according to the respective categories as well as free training up to RM4000 in total training cost for new employees. Employers may send their new employees to us at Adeptivast for free training and we will shape them into high calibre individuals by the time they become alumnis of our programmes.
